Focusing on the cutting-edge of criminal defense and exploring practical approaches together: The first session of Dehe Criminal Defense Training Camp kicks off in Taizhou

From May 10th to 11th, 2025, the first session of the Dehe Criminal Defense Training Camp, organized by the Dehe Criminal Case Research Institute, was successfully held at the Dehehantong Taizhou Law Office. Nearly 50 senior lawyers and students from various offices of Dehehantong gathered in Taizhou, Jiangsu Province. They engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on the cutting-edge issues, practical skills, and future development directions in the field of criminal defense, injecting new vitality and impetus into the criminal defense cause.

Lawyer Zhang Wencan, the director of the National Management Committee of Dehehantong and the director of Dehehantong Taizhou Law Office, delivered a welcoming speech. He extended a warm welcome to the colleagues from the Dehe Criminal Case Research Institute and the offices of Dehehantong across the country. He also expressed that as an important business committee of the law firm, the Dehe Criminal Case Research Institute held an event in Taizhou for the first time, which was of great significance. The first event held in the Taizhou office is just a starting point. Subsequently, such activities will be extended to all offices of Dehehantong across the country, with two professional training sessions held each year. Starting from the presumption of innocence as the logical starting point of criminal defense, he used a series of vivid practical cases to explain the importance of courage, logical thinking and belief in criminal defense.

Lawyer Han Yushi, a senior partner of the Dehehantong Taizhou Law Office, delivered a presentation on the theme of "The Dual Effects of Self-Media in Criminal Defense". She elaborated in detail on three aspects: the "Douyin Headlines" during the public opinion storm, the breakthrough from "double charges" to "one-crime probation", and the utilization and avoidance of public opinion, providing valuable practical experience for the trainees.

Lawyer Wang Feng, a senior partner of the Dehehantong Zhengzhou Law Office , gave a presentation on the theme of "Defense of Fraud Cases involving Traditional Chinese Culture and Feng Shui". He elaborated in detail from five aspects: case summary, main evidence, analysis of the first-instance judgment, defense logic and key points, and realization path. Through classic cases, he demonstrated to the trainees the application skills of the key points on social harmfulness.

Lawyer Huang Ye, a senior partner of Dehehantong Chongqing Law Office , delivered a presentation on the theme of "Prostitution Cases: A Perspective of Property Defense". He elaborated in detail on why property defense is necessary, the basic content and thinking of property defense, and briefly discussed property defense taking prostitution cases as examples, providing practical methods for property defense to the trainees.
